If you are looking to create an extra special touch to your romantic meal, we’ve got the perfect addition to really impress. We asked our team of talented mixologists for their opinion on creating their love potion with recipes to try at home.
All cocktails have been designed to require basic cocktail equipment and using a range of spirits so that there is something for everyones taste!
For our first Valentines cocktail, we have a deep rich red cocktail. A twist on a cosmopolitan, this cocktail is perfect for fans of the New York Classic. Using vodka as the main spirit, this cocktail is a fruity blend balanced with fresh lime to quench your palate.
50 ml Vodka
20ml Cointreau
20ml Strawberry Syrup
35ml Cranberry Juice
15ml Fresh Lime Juice
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, top with ice, then shake your cocktail shaker. Place your martini glass in a freezer 10 mins prior to serving. Finish off with a cherry on side of glass.
Our second Valentines cocktail is a slightly more exotic cocktail. Perfect for coconut lovers, this cocktail is a thirst quencher with a smooth creamy texture.
30ml Vodka
20ml Creme de Cacao
30ml Coconut Milk
15ml Coconut Water
1 Rose
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, top with ice, then shake your cocktail shaker. Use a wine glass, top with ice then strain your cocktail mix into the glass and finish with a rose on top.
Our third Valentines cocktail is for our gin and tonic lovers. Pimp up your favourite drink with a few additional botanicals and fruits.
Recipe:
50ml Gin (Replace with Rhubarb Gin if you want a red colour)
15ml Grapefruit Juice
10ml Lemon Juice
4 Blueberries
Rosemary Sprig
Grapefruit Peel
Use a gin balloon glass and add all ingredients into glass. Top with ice then strategically place the blueberries, grapefruit peel and rosemary into the edges of your balloon. For additonal garnish add a few rose petals on top of glass.
For our fourth cocktail we have a sparkling cocktail. Probably our easiest cocktail but very effective and thoughtful.
Recipe:
15ml Strawberry Fruit Syrup
Topped with Prosecco/Champagne
Cut Half A Strawberry And Place On Toothpick
Add strawberry syrup first, then slowly top with prosecco/champagne. Add the toothpick and strawberry on top.
