The formula 1 etihad airways abu dhabi grand prix is the most glamorous weekend of the year, it remains the biggest international event in the United Arab Emirates and its capital city Abu Dhabi with a 60,000 person crowd. From super yachts, and super models, to celebrity-studded after-parties and huge Yasalam gigs, Abu Dhabi is the place to be. This twilight race has a truly magical atmosphere as day turns to night and the lights shine down on some of the greatest names in motorsport. Having delivered high class events throughout the UK for a number of years, Mr Flavour Events was called in as consultants for the Abu Dhabi F1 on behalf of the Abu Dhabi company Capital Hospitality. The consultancy brief was to create innovative and refreshing drinks throughout the hospitality suites of the Yas Marina circuit. The project took 7 months to deliver with regular timelines including client tastings, site visits, menu development and staff training. The project deliverables included bar designs across the Yas Marina for VIP hospitality and providing a world class drinks service for Abu Dhabi F1 corporate visitors with a huge emphasis on delivering high quality cocktails and mocktails. The project was broken down into 3 areas:-
Trackside Terrace Level 7
The terrace package consisted of a private concierge service before admiring the view of the circuit’s longest straight with Trackside Terrace access. Wine and dine with a selection of cocktails from our bespoke mixologist in a very bespoke and exclusive area. Enjoy the sounds of old time British blues and gentle Caribbean rhythms whilst relishing the sumptuous food offerings.Why not take the elevator to the seventh floorrooftop terrace and enjoy an incredible -360degree bird’s eye view of Abu Dhabi whilst savouring a selection of canapés and beverages.
Situated on the prestigious terrace of the Yas Marina Circuit’s Headquarters, the trackside terrace allows you to get close to the action with the cars speeding past you only a few meters away. Enjoy delicious catering services, in-suite entertainment and cocktail bars at the heart of a prestigious and comfortable facility; the Yas Trackside Terrace is the perfect place to host business networking in style.
The most premium bar to be installed. Set with the best views across the Yas Marina circuit, the level 7 bar installation involved creating a rooftop terrace bar with full functionality. Major issues during the build included no running water and limited storage. Mr Flavour consultancy included designing a functional mobile cocktail bar to service 200 covers, overviewing the bar build project throughout and delivering a functional event bar for future events. Full contingency planning for track 7 terrace bar included financial budgeting, purchase breakdowns and agency staff training was supplied as well as a full Mr Flavour elite mixology team were brought in to deliver a theatrical service including flair bartending, tanded flairers, liquid nitrogen trained staff and a bespoke cocktail service for each attendee of the Level 7 terrace.
The bar service included a full 7 cocktail menu design with a big emphasis on using British & Emirati flavours. The bar team delivered floor service as well as bar service with each cocktail designed to take no longer than 60 seconds to create. A back bar design was created via event lighting and an emphasis on bacardi & bombay sapphire bottles. Trackside Level 1
Trackside Level 1 project was converting a cafeteria into a fully professional cocktail bar to service another 200 covers. A new menu was developed and implemented on Level 1 for guests to enjoy a different range off cocktails with the menu concentrating on classics with a twist. The menu involved a colour changing daiquiri, vanilla espresso martinis & herb infused cocktails to complement the starters upon arrival.
Level 1 consultancy included delivering a team of event mixollogists who didn’t compromise on quality and presentation of every drink delivered, to coincide with the standards of Mr Flavour Events & the Abu Dhabi F1, floor service training to Capital hospitality for drinks services, to create and deliver a menu that complimented the canapes upon arrival as well as the plated meal and overview the full conversion of the canteen into a cocktail bar.
Marsa Suite
The Marsa Suites are located on the first floor of the Marina Grandstand right above the Support Pits featuring stunning views of the Marina. Seated in the comfort of a shared suite, guests are treated to an unmatched luxury corporate hospitality experience. From an array of canapés on arrival and a variety of unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, through to a brunch experience and Sunday Roast with afternoon tea, this is truly the best way to enjoy the races.
