This year we completed our 3 year partnership with our Abu Dhabi event partners in delivering the Formula 1 at Yas Marina. We are very happy to say it was our smoothest grand prix yet, our evergrowing experience in delivering international events and the problems that come with it have stood us in good stead when it comes to preparing for this prestigious event.
As part of our contract, Mr Flavour provided premium drinks service throughout the hospitality suites at Yas Marina. We were situated at the Marsa suites, trackside terrace, the 360 rooftop terrace on level 7 and on the serenity yacht working with F1 experiences.
Why Abu Dhabi F1 Is Such A Big Deal
The Abu Dhabi F1 grand prix is the most glamourous weekend of the year, it remains the biggest inernational event in the United Arab Emirates and its capital city Abu Dhabi. With a 60,000 crowd, super yachts, supermodels, celebrity-studded-afterparties, Abu Dhabi F1 is known for its opulence and creating a truly magical atmosphere on race day.
The Abu Dhabi F1 is also the last race of the season making it all the more exciting and fitting finale for the adrenaline pumping F1 season.

Mr Flavour were handpicked from many drinks suppliers to consult and help deliver premier hospitality to attendees of this prestigious event. Our event brief included to deliver an all inclusive service with reduced waiting times, visually captive drinks and incorporate interaction with guests.
Having hosted luxury events across the country and in Europe, the team are well trained in the art of engaging audiences from expos, company days out, weddings and much more. We consulted on creating a balanced menu designed to be unique but acutely aware of not taking too long to make to help keep waiting times down.
It Wasn’t All Smooth Sailing…
As much as we would love to say that it was perfect and everything went to plan – it most certainly didnt! But then again, when does everything go to plan in events?! We dealt with a range of factors including lack of suppliers in the UAE, ice melting extremely quickly, fruits easily accessible in the UK that are a lot harder to find in the UAE, logistics in a foreign country to name but a few.
However, having hosted parties for over 8 years now, there’s very little that we haven’t seen before! Key strategies, communication and workarounds were put in place where needed and if it wasn’t fixable we would change it around and replace the problem with an alternative solution.
What Lies For The Future?
Excitingly, we are very honoured and ecstatic to announce that a new contract is currently in discussion with both parties happy to continue the ongoing working relationship into the 2020 F1.
Although the event is labour intensive, A LOT of travel involved and the epitome of working with initiative and in a stressful environment, we love it! It’s been a real honour hosting the VIP corporate suites of the Abu Dhabi F1 for the past three years and we take great pride in having our efforts and qualities recognised and praised.
