As the summer closes and we enter autumn, we reminisce on our biggest wedding challenge this year! This award certainly goes to Philippa & Saad, although they had booked their wedding venue and were told the venue would be running their day exclusively for them exactly to their requirements. Philippa had been recommended Mr Flavour wedding planners by one of our previous clients and we provided her a free consultation where we discussed what type and ideas she had for the wedding. Mr Flavour also provided a complimentary site visit to the wedding venue where the venue politely informed us there was no need for our services so we relayed the information to Philippa and concentrated on our other events. 2 months before the big day and a full 180 was in swing! Philippa & Saad were not happy with their venue for a range of factors and had come back to us asking for full venue finding, catering, decor, entertainment, photography – basically a full wedding to plan with no venue in less than 40 days!
Venue Finding Service
Having hosted and worked with wedding couples in the North West for over 10 years, the Mr Flavour wedding events team have an extensive knowledge of venues across the North West with some great relationships with certain venues we work regularly with. In an emergency meeting with our wedding couple we discussed the main attributes they felt it important their venue must have and what kind of services they want the wedding venue to run in-house. Our couples request was they wanted a venue that can be fully dry hired as they didnt want anyone else in charge of the day apart from the Mr Flavour team. The major problem for the venue finding service was that we had to find availability in an established country manor in less than 40 days. After multiple phonecalls, emails & meetings, Mr Flavour created a shortlist of 5 venues that fitted the brief with one venue standing out on that list:- Wrenbury Hall

On-The-Day Wedding Planning & Consultancy
Following on from our event meetings and admin work, the team will create a comprehensive timeline for all suppliers, venue and family to adhere to in order for a smooth transition and for clearer communications. Our event timelines include setup days and breakdown days either side of the big day. Other key factors to our wedding admin duties include our in-house graphics designer designing wedding invites, wedding artwork, menu designs, table plans & wedding namecards. On the day, Mr Flavour had two wedding planners on site, along with our inhouse drinks manager & food manager. The full team was comprised of 23 staff members including all catering staff, bartenders & cleaning up staff.
Wedding Food & Drinks Ideas
Food & Drinks were a very important factor to our wedding couple, they wanted to make sure that their guests who had travelled from far and in many cases from abroad were well fed with a personalised service with minimal waiting time. Having consulted with our catering partners, a family service was planned for mains service as well as a range of roaming canapes and a ‘popup’ food stall for evening guests. With the background of our wedding couple both in medicine, we tied in their career backgrounds to feature a scientific experience room for the wedding bar hire with all drinks and cocktails taking on a medical influence. Wedding Favours & Wedding Stationery
Using a mix of our preferred suppliers ranging from printers, wedding easels & our inhouse graphics design, the wedding favours offers an area to personalise the day to our special couple and showcase a bit of their personality/heritage/characters. Wedding schedules, wedding menus, a table plan and bespoke collages were created of the bride and groom using a range of childhood and friends pictures. Our couple had origins in Scotland & Sudan so Mr Flavour wedding planners designed the following wedding logo:-
Wedding Decor
A few favours were needed from our preferred florists, A/V partners to pull of this event in time! However we are pleased to say that all our lovely partners chipped in to deliver a brief of candle heavy minimalistic decor with specific decor including a pink blossom tree arch, a white wisteria tree centerpiece for the bar, floating candle centerpieces & a sudanese backdrop stage for a traditional ceremony. Our wedding planners designed a layout and floor plans for all suppliers to understand the layout our couple wanted and to understand all layouts of the room prior to live day.
