London events we have run
Billingsgate every year, the five star hotels and the showrooms of Mayfair.
Every year we build the bars for the ATFX party at Billingsgate on the Thames, for more than 2,000 guests. This year the room had gin and whisky bars beside the cocktails, with gin and tonic and beer bars as well. Billingsgate has one way in for deliveries. Contractors take turns by the clock, so the van is emptied and gone quickly. We plan the layout around the room and staff it with our London team.
Our wedding bars have stood at Claridge's, The Savoy, The Peninsula, One Mayfair and The Ritz. These hotels run to strict supplier standards, so the bar is styled to the room and the stylist's mood board. Every wedding bar comes with a named event manager and our full paperwork, sent before the venue asks for it.
For brands we wrap and light the bar in their identity. At the Vanquish launch in Mayfair we built a three metre bar into the Aston Martin showroom for 200 VIP guests, and the branded Espresso Martini was the most popular serve of the night. For Land Rover we took over the Mayfair office for the Range Rover SV launch and served 150 guests. Can you run bars for 2,000 guests or more in London?
Large London events are run as one service across several bars, with the layout planned around the room so guests are served without a queue. ATFX at Billingsgate is the event we do at that scale every year.
Are the bartenders working London events London based?
The bartenders on your event live and work in London rather than travelling in for the day. We field teams of up to 20 comfortably and larger with notice.
Can the bar be branded for our company or event?
We wrap an existing bar, build a custom branded counter, light logos, and design branded menus and serves to match, as we did for Aston Martin in Mayfair. See branded bar hire.
Do you offer dry hire bars in London?
Dry hire means you hire the bar and our bartenders, and you or your sponsor supply the drinks. We deliver and install the bar, glassware, ice wells and equipment.
Can you work at venues with restricted load in times?
Routinely. ExCeL runs to fixed loading times and we know the system there. At the Natural History Museum our drivers stay with the vans so a vehicle can move the moment the building asks, and we work to the venue's timings.
Will the bar damage the venue or its grounds?
At protected sites we plan for it: at Syon Park our bars sit on removable floor protectors so nothing reaches the soil beds, and marquee work leaves the grounds exactly as found.
Are your bartenders licensed and insured?
Every booking carries risk assessments and method statements, £10m public liability, PAT testing, personal licence holders, allergen records and a five star hygiene rating. London venues ask for this more than anywhere else, so we send it first.
How far in advance should we book a mobile bar in London?
Peak London dates (May to September weddings, the December party season and major industry weeks) are usually booked four to nine months ahead. We take shorter notice bookings where we can.
